Masterplan 2023
Group Work
My current Final Year Project, which began in September 2023, incorporated group work. This project was to create a Masterplan of the North Riverside in Derby, which is in the scope of regeneration in real-time, as a group of 6 to study the site and surrounding areas to propose varying zones of new building mass and purpose for the areas. Constrictions to consider revolved mainly around the proposed flood defence wall, due to the site being a high-risk flood zone.
From this masterplan, completed in November 2023, individually we choose one of the new zones from our group masterplan to develop a singular concept from Site Analysis to complete Building Form.
Mission
As this project aims to be sustainable and a regeneration of Derby I decided to choose an existing building, Exeter House. The concept for my design is Urban Oasis to help connect the building with the river and nature. This project will be a work in progress until submission in May 2024, all projects are to be on display at The University of Derby Degree Show.
